On Spiritual Bypassing

A spiritual journey usually calls us to remove ourselves from the world for a series of practices so that so that we can re-engage the world from a more centered, values-driven foundation. But when we fail to re-engage, we’ve used spiritual growth as a way to bypass the needs of neighbor and stranger. How can we practice spiritual engagement and avoid spiritual bypassing?
