Chicken Little is pecking around the barnyard when a large acorn drops and hits his head. Not being the brightest bird in the barnyard, Chicken Little assumes that what hit him was a piece of the sky. Immediately, he runs about the yard warning all the creatures. “The sky is falling!’ “The sky is falling!” Of course, his warnings start a catastrophic panic, eventually (in the old version) ending in the demise of all. In our time, the warnings beset us from every turn. If we continue our present rate of consumption of resources, some kind of end will befall our careless way of life: some say within twelve years. What to do? How do we keep the sky from falling?
