A Mother’s Day of Peace

Julia Ward Howe once imagined a Mother’s Day of Peacein which women would envision and organize to create a world free of violence and war. Her dream is far from the holiday that we observe today, but those seeds of peace are still present in modern Mother’s Day celebrations. How is Mother’s Day today still a day in which we dream of, and work toward, peace?
