“Those who have died have never, never left. The dead are not under the earth.” These words of Birago Diop, adapted by Ysaye Barnwell for the hymn, “Breaths,” call us to remember those who have died and to honor the continuing wisdom of their voices. What do the voices of the ancestors tell us today? How do they want us to live? This service will include the annual Notes to the Dead ritual, led by UU Princeton’s Evergreen Chapter of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans group.
