LGBTQ History Month

Teachers have always been important advocates and allies in the movement for LGBTQ+ liberation. If history is not taught, it lies fallow in the pages of books, unread, or untold. This was the inspiration that Missouri teacher Rodney Wilson had in 1994, when he joined up with other educators to found LGBTQ History Month. It is observed in October alongside other traditions such as National Coming Out Day. Where can you find Unitarian Universalists, and even our own Welcoming congregation, in the pages of queer history? Rainbow Ministry will explore this in story, reflection, bell ringing and song.
