Learning with Job

The book of Job in the Hebrew Scriptures tells the story of a good person beset by unimaginable troubles, leading to enormous heartbreak. It is frequently the subject of artistic, theological, and therapeutic reflection, probably because it is so difficult to make meaning of its central question: Why do good people suffer? During the Jewish High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we’ll reflect anew on this ancient and always-relevant story.
