Approaching the earth as a blessed ship upon which we sail through the cosmos makes environmental stewardship an act of joyful devotion. Approaching the earth as a sinking lifeboat that will soon cause our demise makes that same commitment desperate and frantic. How can we build faithful gratitude and collective joy into environmental stewardship? How might this approach expand the circle of those who actively care for the earth?
