From our Social Justice Ministry – Helping our Neighbors during the Coronavirus Crisis
Ray Nichols came to the rescue for Loaves and Fishes on Saturday. UUCP usually provides a hot meal at Saint Mary’s Church at this time but are unable to this year. Ray was able to get a local Subway to make sandwiches for a boxed lunch for the many people who will be lining up at a safe distance from one another on Saturday. We’re sorry we can’t be there to help out but grateful to Ray for finding a creative solution that still allows us to help feed local people who need a meal. Thank you Ray!
More broadly, many families in our area are suffering economically due to the coronavirus. While many food pantries have closed, Arm in Arm is finding creative ways to continue to provide food to those in need while remaining safe by providing mobile services to local areas, including Trenton and Princeton, starting March 26. Please consider making a donation to Arm & Arm by going to the website and clicking on Support. You can contact Jenn Johnston, jennj@arminarm.org if you have questions. Please note they are not accepting volunteers.
Please drop off food donations at 61 Nassau Street, Princeton. Call 609-396-9355 before visiting.
