About the Auction
Each year UU Princeton’s Fellowship Auction provides a fun and enriching way for members to get to know one another better. The auction’s thoughtfully considered offerings feature unique (and oftentimes quirky) experiences, talents and treasures donated by members, and serve to bring the community together in truly memorable ways.
Originally an in-person gala event, the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the auction into the virtual world in 2020, allowing for a full week of on-line bidding. In 2024 the fun-filled, in-person party was brought back to cap off the thrilling week of virtual bidding. Be sure to come and join the fun!
All proceeds collected from the Fellowship Auction benefit UU Princeton directly, and serve as one of the biggest funding sources of the organization’s operations. This is why members are encouraged to donate and bid generously- It is one of the most delightful opportunities in our community to both give and receive generously, and support our spiritual home at the same time.
How to Participate
To donate an auction offering send an email (subject line: Auction Donation) with the following information to ckhedberg@gmail.com
· Title
· Description
· A picture or representation (or we can use last year’s)
· quantity (number of items or winners)
· minimum bid (the lowest it could sell for that you’d still be happy you donated it)
· value (if appropriate and if you know)
· date (if needed) and any blackout dates
Here are some donation ideas:
• Pet sitting!
• Wine tasting!
• Museum passes!
• Restaurant gift certificate!
• Host a dinner, picnic or BBQ!
• Concert, movie or theater tickets!
• Game night at your home or at UUCP!
• Teach a small group cooking, yoga, etc!
• Murder mystery or other themed event!
• Host a party or picnic; swimming, games, etc!
• Tour a local public garden or historical area!
• Dessert, jam, etc. to sell the night of the auction!
• A week or weekend in your vacation cabin/condo!
• Dinners to be collected in the future chili, lasagna, etc!
• Handmade items like quilts, scarves, ceramics, jewelry!
• Airport rides, gardening, photography, handyman, computer instruction, etc!
