Below please find a number of books and additional resources about how to support the trans*, non-binary, and gender expansive children in our lives as well as support in talking with all children about gender identity. These resources were compiled with great support from UUCP member Liz Palena, Youth Services Librarian at Plainsboro Public Library.

As always, do share with me any additional resources you’ve found helpful.

In addition, I share with you a report from TrUUst (Transgender Religious professional Unitarian Universalists Together) on the experiences of trans* UUs in our congregations and our denomination. It is important for us to understand that marginalization of trans* people exists within our spiritual community as it does in the dominant culture. I urge us to take in the learnings of this report and as advised, think upon the actions we can all take to increase our faith’s inclusion of trans* UUs. https://transuu.org/2019/01/21/truust-releases-report/

With blessings and abiding love, Rev. Jennifer
