Visitors
Welcome newcomers and visitors
We invite you to bring your whole self: your full identity, your questioning mind, your truths and your doubts, your worries, and your hopes.
UU Princeton is a community of curious, compassionate thinkers and doers. We have diverse spiritual backgrounds and beliefs. We stand at different points on our journeys of faith. We are united in our shared values and our belief in the transformative power of love and community.

What to know about worship
During our usual worship service, which is about an hour from start to finish, we light the chalice, greet one another, center ourselves in peaceful reflection, sing songs, and enjoy beautiful music together. We listen along with our children to a story of wonder and wisdom and recognize our joys and sorrows. We are inspired by our minister’s words of hope, love, justice, and joy, and we leave feeling uplifted—ready to move forward in our daily lives with a renewed sense of connection, meaning, and purpose.
A few more things for your first visit
When you arrive at the main entrance for the first time, our Sunday morning greeters will direct you to the Welcome Table. The Welcoming Team will help you navigate your first visit and answer any questions you may have about our congregation.
Feel free to dress in whatever makes you comfortable. You’ll find most people wearing casual attire.
After the service, you are invited to join us in Robinson Lounge for an informal coffee hour or to stop by the Welcome Table.
See the events calendar to learn more about our major intergenerational services and events.
First-time families
This congregation warmly welcomes families of all sizes and configurations. You will find an inclusive community that invites children to participate in a multigenerational worship experience.
Two to three times per month, children leave shortly after the start of worship to join their teachers and go to their Children’s Faith Development (CFD) classes. Visitors with children are welcome to stay in worship with their children or to observe a CFD class with a child at this time.
Visit the Children and Youth page for more information about children in worship, CFD class schedules, curriculum, and registration details.
Newcomer Gatherings
We wish all who enter our congregation to have their questions heard and answered fully. A monthly newcomer gathering after worship, usually hosted by our minister and lay leaders, offers more detailed information about our congregation, our spiritual beliefs, and our faith tradition. Ask for information about this “Exploring Our Faith” program at the Welcome Table. Individual meetings with our minister, Rev. Bill Neely, can also be arranged.
